Not really. I'm Scottish, but I don't understand Gaelic(old scottish/irish language).
And while we're on the subject, I can't speak chinese either! ;D

ours is much weirder than you think! you probably don't study the Gaelic language...but we study (everyday in school!) Chinese! so it's pretty funny if people know we're not fluent especially since we look so much Chinese ;D still...we do know some Chinese! would you like to learn some, niichan? ;D but you know Scottish (the non-ancient one?) so can you teach me some phrases of that too?

O.k. you win, it is weirder for you than me. Mind you, if your no good and you study it in school, then you're not so much weird as dumb! I'd better not learn chinese, as I'm having a hard enough time learning japanese. On the other hand, japanese and chinese are simalar(says he who knows neither) so mabey it would help. By the way, is Nihao a chinese word? Teach you scottish? Well it's more of an accent than a language. You say 'aye' for yes, 'nae' for no. A church is called a 'Kirk'. Let's see... "So, Heyk'yoo, mae wee bairn, yee'd like ta' learrrn scots! Well noo, I dinna ken if'n I'm the man fo the joob. Why don't tya go ask yer mam like a gud girrrl, if'n it's O.K tae be learrrning this stuff a'for yee get's yer hed in'ta this." How's that.

Well noo(now) I dinna(don't) ken(know) if'n(if) I'm the man fo(for) the joob(job). why dont tya(you) go ask yer(your) mam(mother) like a gud(good) girrrl(rolled r) if'n(if it's) it's O.K. tae(to) be learrrning(roll r) this stuff, afore(before) yee(you) get's yer(your) hed(head) in'ta(into) this. Hellza:- Hellza is used in social settings like- Whena' hellza pa'ty starting? Why th' hellza burds no here And most frequently we hear, Wherea' hellza booze? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hahahahaha!!! ;D I'm sorry I couldn't resist. This is from a clip of a show I saw once, which was presented like 'Learn a forign language' but was just making fun off the accent! ;D Oh, and 'facmac' is 'fact mate', and booze is a term for alcohol(espesialy beer) for example, if you've spent all night drinking(yes i mean you) you could say 'I've been boozing it up!' Well you'd mean to say it, but what comes out will be 'I'f beenenen bozinnng it down. Sideways, thing you know'*collapses on floor, starts snoring*
